Default Probable Venue December 7th

Most of the graded stake racing next Saturday is at Aqueduct. At this time the long term weather forecast is for just cold weather. Los Alamitos looks to be the only other possibility with two 2 year old stake races. The pickings are slim this time of the year but 4 graded stakes at Aqueduct with the Cigar Mile looks good to me.

Seems like the best to me too, if they go. Last weekend I was going to play the feature and watched a few races. Joel Rosario won the 3rd I think and they showed him aboard the winner. He looked so cold, you could practically feel it yourself and of course, later they cancelled the card because of icy conditions.

I agree with that choice, RQ. The Cigar Mile always draws a strong field, and for those of us who are thinking ahead to the first Friday and Saturday of next May (or are playing the Oaks or Derby futures), the Remsen and Demoiselle at 1 1/8 miles are very useful yardsticks.

As for the weather, the current storm is just winding down and there don't appear to be any more in the forecast.

The weather looks rain free for Saturday so Aqueduct it will be. We will do races 2 through 10 with a post of noon eastern. Race 10 is the Cigar Mile. Good luck handicapping to all and I hope your move goes smoothly Tom.
