Wave to Blizzard, Amon Ra and Stratocaster and EVERY horse in the 8th and most in the 9th for me!
Hey you didn't tell me Pinzaara was running! Good luck, ed. Hope she wins! |

Yeah! So exciting to have her back. But it sounds like she's not quite 100% fit yet and there are some really nice horses in that field - Ryan Mark is scarily good.
But hopefully she'll run a nice race and improve from there. Jeez that was an impressive win by Tomorrowland. |

Costume?! I love her, but wow. I did not expect that.
Disappointing from Puccini. The connections didn't have any explanation. But at least I can report that Pinzaara is fine! That was a nightmare for her but she's come through it and will try again next time. Ryan Mark was incredible. |

That was some finish by Costume AND Soriano (yea!!!) AND Shuka (yea!)! Outstanding! Blizzard! Man if I hadn't seen the results first I would have been really upset. Nice patient ride. Happy that Antonio Lombardo won (would have guessed the race belonged to Fix.. guess not). You're right, that was a god performance by Turn Me Loose. Happy to see Stratocaster do as well as he did in such a big field. Fun races! How lucky you are to have been there. Very much liked your piece on Antonio's win. |

Thanks! I was so happy for the McKays that their day got a bit better - they're really nice people.

Maybe an explanation for Puccini's race yesterday...

Thanks for that ed and yeah, hope he gets better soon.
No matter what happens from here on out he is and always will be a champion. |

Absolutely.
Interesting little fact - Turn Me Loose was bred by George Simon, who called the race, along with his wife. |

Won't be around much for the next week - off for a vacation in Australia with my girlfriend to celebrate her 30th birthday.

What a nice win by The Filly! No surprise seeing I Do right up there but oh... Postman's Daughter! That was some trifecta. The stuff of dreams! |

SORIANO!
That was great. Hope the horse who pulled up after the wire is alright (Uncle Shayne?). Ginner Hart... where did that come from? Nice run by Fix too! |

Thanks! It was a really nice week away. Just catching up on the races during that time - some great results!
I caught the Caulfield Cup live on TV - so, so proud of Rising Romance. |

Wow, this weekend is going to be amazing (and busy!)
My editor is going to Melbourne for the Manikato and Cox Plate, so it's me in charge of all the NZ stuff. I'll be at Ellerslie, where there are some nice fields... including Pinzaara and Cantina! Plus two stakes races at Trentham and three at Riccarton, with some good fields in those as well. Then on Monday it's the Sarten! O'Marilyn, Turn Me Loose, Vinnie Eagle, Avisto, Stratocaster... So much good racing coming up. I hope Bounding and Silent Achiever can do well in Melbourne despite their wide gates. |

Exciting stuff. |
