Default Lasix-free stakes for 4+.. Spin the wheel!

Texas Wedge (Altimira/P. Miller) bled in the Joe Hernandez on Friday while 4th at 4-1.. Getting turned out.

Pending scope results, appeared even money favorite Count Again (Agave/P. Damato) bled in the San Gabriel when eased off the turn..

It's one thing to start a horse off w/o Lasix and take your chances with their EIPH possibilities, but downright abusive to ask elder horses that have been on it their whole racing career to come off it.

How is anyone supposed to bet not knowing who may react poorly to running without? It's ridiculous. And still waiting to hear who is benefiting from the high hat move to push Lasix out.

@Steve_Byk Good news via @PhilDamato11 re: Count Again: “He didn’t bleed, thankfully. At the top of the lane Hernandez looks behind Count Again as he kind of got bumped and his hind end slipped out. Being a good jock, he wrapped him up to make sure he was OK. He is 100% sound this morning”.

Point remains that form reversals/degradations are going to occur with horses coming off Lasix.
