Tuesday, June 19th: The exciting opening day includes three Group One races: the Queen Anne Stakes, the King’s Stand Stakes, and the St James’s Palace Stakes.

2:30pm The Queen Anne Stakes (Group 1) 4+ £600000 One mile
3:05pm The Coventry Stakes (Group 2) 2 £150000 Six furlongs
3:40pm The King's Stand Stakes (Group 1) 3+ £400000 Five furlongs
4:20pm The St James's Palace Stakes (Group 1) 3 colts £400000 Old mile
5:00pm The Ascot Stakes (Handicap) 4+ £80000 Two and a half miles
5:35pm The Windsor Castle Stakes (Listed) 2 £80000 Five furlongs


Wednesday, June 20th: Day two is one of the most relaxed of the week but includes one of the most important races, the Group One Prince of Wales’s Stakes.

2:30pm The Jersey Stakes (Group 3) 3 £90000 Seven furlongs
3:05pm The Queen Mary Stakes (Group 2) 2 fillies £110000 Five furlongs
3:40pm The Duke of Cambridge Stakes (Group 2) 4+ fillies & mares £175000 One mile
4:20pm The Prince of Wales's Stakes (Group 1) 4+ £750000 One and a quarter miles
5:00pm The Royal Hunt Cup (Heritage Handicap) 3+ £175000 One mile
5:35pm The Sandringham Stakes (Listed) (Handicap) 3 fillies £80000 One mile


Thursday, June 21st: Gold Cup Day is one of the most popular days at the Royal Ascot. Also known as Ladies Day, the fashion is as much of a highlight as the races themselves.

2:30pm The Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) 2 £100000 Five furlongs
3:05pm The Hampton Court Stakes (Group 3) 3 £90000 One and a quarter miles
3:40pm The Ribblesdale Stakes (Group 2) 3 fillies £200000 One and a half miles
4:20pm The Gold Cup (Group 1) 4+ £400000 Two and a half miles
5:00pm The Britannia Stakes (Heritage Handicap) 3 colts & geldings £120000 One mile
5:35pm The King George V Stakes (Handicap) 3 £90000 One and a half miles


Friday, June 22nd: The penultimate day of the event features the Group One Coronation Stakes and the Group One Commonwealth Cup.

2:30pm The Albany Stakes (Group 3) 2 fillies £80000 Six furlongs
3:05pm The King Edward VII Stakes (Group 2) 3 colts & geldings £200000 One and a half miles
3:40pm The Commonwealth Cup (Group 1) 3 £400000 Six furlongs

Saturday, June 23rd: The highlight of the day is the Group One Diamond Jubilee Stakes, one of the world’s most prestigious races.

3:05pm The Wolferton Rated Stakes (Listed) 4+ £80000 One and a quarter miles
3:40pm The Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) 4+ £225000 One and a half miles
4:20pm The Diamond Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) 4+ £600000 Six furlongs
5:00pm The Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) 3+ £175000 Six furlongs

Also take a listen to ATR Hour 3 from Friday 6/15 with Nick Luck. Have a good pen and paper as he and Steve go through a bunch of the weeks races quickly.

Royal Ascot is cool. Ordinary good graded stakes horses from the states shipping to run there is absurd. I get shipping to Dubai, the purses are enormous but to ship across an ocean to be swallowed by it for less money than available in States is just obnoxious IMO

It's not about the money; it's about the challenge and possible prestige, and with the recent US success it's brightened the dream even more.

Tepin was unique, I get it. The Ward babies are forward, and to his credit, he identified an opportunity and succeeded. Dreams are great, we all hope, then reality sets in, or at least it is supposed to
