Keeneland Turf Course
Off yesterday and only 1 race per day for the last three days of the meet will be run on turf. The reason? There is some rain in the forecast and they want to make sure the turf is in good condition for the Breeders Cup.
Really? https://www.keeneland.com/media/news...days-fall-meet Very disappointing to say the least |

Moisture currently in the course isnt the main cause. The course is just beat to hell. With rain forecasted, it's the right call. They've had the rail out every day except for opening weekend, so hopefully the inside isnt too bad, but the outer paths need help

I get all that but who is it the right call for?
How about the connections of horses who were scheduled to run in one of the grass races this week? I’m sure they don’t think it was the right call. I just never understand running some on the grass, especially since the rail has been out all meet as you said. Plus I think it sets a bad precedent. Then again Keeneland somehow screwed up filming their races this meet, so this decision fits right in line with what they’ve been doing |

I meant it's the right call to limit the use of the course. The call was premptive, but I think with any amount of rain, the other races will probably come off too.
Agreed, the shakiness of the backstrerch head on has been insanely aggravating recently. |

I was wrong, after a 30 min downpour and weather delay, the 9th still stays on. Very confusing, to say the least.
