ran 2nd most of the way, then passed in the stretch and finished 4th.

I was on the CUSP of getting started on the right foot!! Round 3 ends on a disappointing note. Ran the total up to $423 before losing on the 10th round. El Gato Famoso..... taking notes on that one.

Round 4 to commence at a time TBD. Will probably take the weekend off as I will be driving over to Louisville to watch Sumwon win her first race for Dee Tee.

I started a show parlay with Bluegrass Cat in the Derby last year. I have kept it going all year long and have now turned my $10 initial investment into 8675309. I feel like now is the time to pull my $10 out to make sure I walk away even at worst and will risk the rest of it on Storm In May. Do you think I should keep going after the derby or stop there?

All my love,
Savy Show Wager Dude

I'm almost ready to pick this back up. Finals week and the need for somewhat of a break have kept me at bay. I may make some picks starting tomorrow. Dunbar, if you see any 5 horse fields, let me know...makes things easier with 2 sets of eyes.

Default Round 4, all in a day...

Here's the plan for tomorrow... all races with 6 or less entries.

I think I've got the post times right (Central time). If I'm off, or if a delay causes a shuffle in the order, I'll calculate the running tally according to the order the races actually go off (duh).

As an aside, I really like this pick for GG race 2 tomorrow at 15/1 ML (a couple "false" favorites make Evrybodycutfootloose a nice play IMO)...

1 Belmont R2 12:30 - #3 Brooke's Valentine
2 Golden Gate R1 3:05 - #1 Strange Brew
3 Churchill R7 3:15 - #3 Stormin Mon SCR Somethingtotlkabt
4 Hollywood R1 3:20 - #3 Fast Corredor
5 Golden Gate R2 3:35 - #2 Evrybodycutfootlos
6 Golden Gate R3 4:06 - #1 Hangonbabyhangon
7 Hollywood R3 4:23 - #6 Plenty Jade
8 Golden Gate R4 4:38 - #6 Call It
9 Hollywood R7 6:23 - #6 Declan's Moon
10 Golden Gate R8 6:38 - #2 PositivelyCharming

FWIW, I have enjoyed watching this thread, and have incorporated the show parlay into my wagering. Fun way to do it...

I just KNOW one of these will run off the board. Probably Footloose now that I've touted the slouch.

The 3 in Race 7 at CD is SCR. Substitute the 2, Somethingtotlkabt.

Well, shucks again.... Hangonbabyhangon hung on to the gate or something. Another short round. I'm going to redeem myself eventually.

No show wagering in the 3rd at Hollywood. Round 6 starts with "Call It" in the 4th at Golden Gate.

Plays for 5/18 picking up where I left off for Round 6....

GG R1 3:05 #1 Eastern Sand (coupled, only playing this one)
GG R2 3:34 #5 Groupofthefuture
GG R3 4:03 #1 Souvenir Sands
GG R8 6:34 #2 Smiler

Canterbury R1 7:00 #5 Angel Smoke
Canterbury R2 7:27 #4 Wingbrook
Canterbury R4 8:22 #1 Before the Storm
Canterbury R8 10:12 #5 A Team Leader

If I get knocked out, I'll start Round 7 another day. Not automatically going into the next round. That hasn't worked so well for me, has it now?
