WHAT??? WHAT??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Oh my God ed I have missed every race, I have not looked at results, have not watched replays, haven't even checked my tvg account ... this is the ONLY thing I am checking (my dad is in intensive care and has been for the past ten days) and I just went to watch the race... you must be over the moon!!!!!!

If this wasn't the toughest field she ever faced it was definitely one of them.

Just wonderful... fabulous race, what a game girl... I am so happy for you.

Please give her an extra hug and a peppermint from her biggest fan on this side of the globe.

That was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks sistah... it's been pretty tough. I appreciate your thoughts.

Outta here but please... when you get a chance do watch Pinzaara's nice win. Not an easy field.

(Sorry for going off topic, ed... I know you don't mind).

Thanks, ed I appreciate that.

What's next for Pinzaara? That must have been fantastic (I am assuming you were at Ellerslie)...

I definitely was! And I got to write about it, which was such a cool experience.

A breeding career isn't far away for her now, so they're going to try some stakes races to at least see if they can pick up a placing. The Canterbury Breeders' Stakes and Counties Bowl next month are the two they're thinking about at the moment.

Great racing at Te Rapa today. O'Marilyn was unbelievable. She's going to be hard to beat in the 1000 Guineas.

When is that, ed? Can't wait.

Was also wondering... I just looked at the fields for Pukekohe Park tomorrow... why so many scratches?

Pukekohe is having major issues with their track, and I don't think people feel like they can trust it. The races have since been called off.

The 1000 Guineas for fillies is on November 15, while the 2000 Guineas is November 8. It doesn't sound like anyone is crazy enough to run in both of them this year - you have to be Katie Lee to do that!

Just got confirmation that I'm going to Christchurch for the 2000 Guineas next week! My first G1 race. Really excited about it.

I keep meaning to ask you about her kids! Please post it if there's any news!

Happy to hear you get to go to the 2000 Guineas!

Katie's first little boy (sire Fastnet Rock) has not been named yet, but he's been entered for the Golden Slipper in April! So Graeme Rogerson must think he has some ability.

Oh ed... horrible morning reading about Moroney's poor horse at Flemington so I went to see what was up on the NZ racing site.

Zennista!!! Were you there? That was amazing the way she fought back once Abidewithme caught up to her haha!

... and oh, Soriano who I love so much and OH POSTMANS DAUGHTER! If you look at the replay look at what happens to her from like 1:44 to 1:52 and still she manages to end 4th?! That was some rough going for her and a very nice job (once again) by Derek Nolan who I am not at all familiar with, I'm ashamed to say.

edit - ... and of course I just went to look at the Informant and found your very good piece!

Thanks! That was a fun race to watch and write about. The day got so sad later in the afternoon with the Melbourne Cup, but there were some fantastic races earlier in the day at Ellerslie.

The field for the 2000 Guineas on Saturday:

Not a big field, but a talented group. I can't wait.

We're underway on Guineas day!

The sun's shining, the track is perfect and I can't wait for the big races this afternoon.

Wow, Silver Eclipse was really good today in the Pegasus. She's grown and improved a whole lot since last season.

What do you think, ed? Does Stratocaster win the 2000 Guineas?

Lucky you being there. Have a great time!
