If it was up to me I'd start with race 7. Look at all dem maiden races.

Heavy rain in New Orleans today. First race has already been delayed for over 20 minutes due to weather conditions. Off of the turf.

Update - today's card cancelled due to adverse weather.

It appears racing at Fairgrounds may be suspect but Cruzan has the ball to run with.

The full card at Fairgrounds for Saturday is the deal, unless bad weather changes it.

I just spoke with the racing office at the FAIR GROUNDS

The reason they canceled today was LIGHTNING ⛈
Not worth the risk to the Horses 🐎

He told me tomorrow looks fine 😊
And everything is good to go 👌

Risen Star day too important to jeopardize. But it is still worthwhile to check the status of turf races.

Off the turf and sloppy main track on Friday. Hope for better weather tomorrow. Scratch sheet may be extensive with many horses cross entered.
