Default "Del Webb's Mint"?!

Okay, who came up with "Del Webb's Mint"? Are there 10 people on this site who know what that is! Brought back memories for me, though.

The Mint was the first place I tried out my newly learned card counting skills. They were dealing out every card but one from a single deck. I thought, "geez, if they can do that, then maybe card counting doesn't work". But I went ahead with my $1-$4 spread anyway, really sweating the 'big' bets. By my next trip to Las Vegas, maybe 9 months later, no casino was dealing like that. For years I had a $5 chip from The Mint in my desk drawer.

Maybe I'd better throw in a selection so this post doesn't get moved to esoteric or something. Okay, "All Others" in the Ky Derby Future Wager, Pool 2. Especially if it looks like it will be 5-1 or higher. Risking 1/2 unit.

Dunbar,

'Del Webb's Mint' was one of a handful of alternate room name ideas I had early this morning that I thought I'd try out... They were poorly received however by the cognescenti and I have demured on most of them.

Growing up, I alway's thought "Del Webb's Mint" had a great sound and image... Glad you appreciated the (short-lived) moniker. Thanks for sharing the story..

The O/T Sports Room will retain its' new tag:
"Kiner's Korner.. Sports Bar & Grill"...

I cracked my shin on the coffee table....

You get in the groove of clicking on each room and where they are located. The Triple Crown Room move caught me.
