Why do they call it a "scratch" when a horse is out of a race?
What are they scratching?

And, how come there are four balls and only three strikes in baseball? It should be one of each.
And, what's with a "walk" when they jog to first base? They should call it a jog.

I won't even get going with football, but I'd like to know why they spend so much time touching helmets in the huddle. Is it a "guy" thing?

Why is it that football and basketball have referees and baseball has umpires.

Why can a pitcher throw at a batter and get a warning, and throwing a basketball(technical foul) or a football(15yd penalty) at another player will get you in more trouble, aren't they softer than a baseball?

Why is it called a "driveway" even though you park your car on it and a "parkway" even though you drive your car on it?

And I don't think men who wear skirts are called crossdressers, I believe they're called Scots.

That's too easy...
They'd have to change all the packaging to read "Preparation A" instead of "Preparation H".

Now I'd like to know why the Bayer company calls those pills a$$perine if they are intended to get rid of a head ache.
Ahh..life's little mysteries.
