Default JOHNNY D: Preakness Approach

Preakness 2022 Analysis
By Johnny D.

This race looks like the Derby runner-up’s to lose. After that there are two horses with some chance to upset but most likely to finish second. There are three runners who could mix in the Trifectas and Superfectas. Mix and match as you please but don’t expect monster payoffs in this race.

A – One to Beat
8- Epicenter

B. Next Best
4 – Secret Oath (filly)
5- Early Voting

C. Third Best
9. Skippylongstocking – Has shown some talent. Has the right style from off the pace. Nice five-furlong work. 20-1 odds help.

D. Chance for Exotics
1. Simplification – tries hard, keeps coming late.
2. Creative Minister – Fast developing. Connections paid $150,000 to enter the race.

E. The Rest
3. Fenwick – Not for me.
6. Happy Jack – Blinkers go back on, but he needs to improve a lot.
7. Armagnac – Some talent but both wins were wire-to-wire and he should have early company.
