Trying to make figs for the Derby under the conditions yesterday is a bit of a stab in the dark. I mean there was two hours (of steady rain, and track maintenance) between the Derby and the last dirt race before it.

Who here even CONTEMPLATED using Funny Duck in the Pat Day Mile??

That whacky result and Dream Awhile not getting up for 2nd was enough to ruin my day....

.... BUT I WASNT HAVING NO PARTS OF THAT! Turned on the boosters and finished as strongly as My Boy Jack was in the Derby, only I had better results.

Great day of racing and am very excited about trip to Baltimore in 2 weeks
