These people have been with Baffert since the beginning. I suggest Baffert has a lot of say as he should.. If he is asking for one for the TEAM he deserves it. Indian Blessing was a terriffic horse.

This offspring has the potential to be the perfect "rabbit" for the return of Better Talk Now.

Baffert has trained for these connections forever. I would think that if you have a trainer for 20 plus years and he just campaigned a wonderful filly for you, that you are willing to take his word on a lot of things. I guess if Bafferrt thinks Zensational is a terrific match for Indian Blessing then her connections should listen! You know breeding is hardly pure science. A lot goes into it and luck certainly plays a huge part.. Think about all the fantastic mares that have been bred to the very best stallions and the pair produce nothing but frogs.. There are so many great great mares that never produced anything. So regardless how selfish Baffert seems with his thoughts.. Who the F knows?

I think the would of Indian Blessing.. I would hope she could produce a runner from virtually any decent stallion. Or she may just toss frogs being bred to the best? Who knows..

I suspect Zayat wanted Baffert to talk to the Earnhardts to pump up Zensational's book, but I doubt he would push them into a stallion unless he was genuinely enthusiastic about the horse. He could always have gone back to Zayat with spread hands, saying "I did what I could, but they're set on Curlin."

(But I think Curlin would have been a better choice )

Hell, Giants Causeway would have been a better choice!
Or even Point Given!

I saw today that Fupeg's 2010 fee will be only 15k. I'd MUCH rather go to him for 15k than Zensational for free.

Didn't FuPeg start at $150,000? Wow, what a fall.
