A mile and under is great. You can walk it. Not that I've done it. You can also take a cab.
What about the place across the street from the Reading Room? If that place is still a B&B it's the closest one to the track. There might be another one on Union heading toward Circular but I don't remember. The next closest is Batheller Mansion B&B on Circular. Eric
