The chip had healed and they expected the horse to be acting great, but he didn't seem like himself. They did some tests and discovered that he had another problem that they didn't know about. When they discovered what it was, they had to turn him out again. The late discovery of the problem probably cost them about 4-5 months. If they knew about it from the start, they would have given him a few more months to let it heal. Instead they brought him back and trained him for a couple months and then had to turn him out again.

Anyway, since he came back the second time, everything has been going great. The horse has looked perfect. they were looking forward to him running for several more years. Assuming that he just has a lung infection, I would expect him to fully recover and to race for several more years.
Thanks rupert!!! Thats great news. I was hoping he wasn't hurt and Im glad you got the scoop on the infection. We need all the stars we can get in this game and we didn't need to lose him so quickly after a nice comeback race.
