they will not take kindly to Biden completely raping Palin in a debate.

I think this might effectively muffle Biden if he makes
any attempt to display that she is unqualified. And Biden
cant help being especially mean. Add to this
Obama's extensive lack of experience in the nuances
of international relations.
The Republicans made the race closer.
If Romney was picked, call Obama Mr. President.

My unqualified take.

And I still think this will be one of the most interesting presidential
elections. The last few had me bored stiff until the voting actually
took place and the Florida mess.

this white female voter isn't happy with anyone running, again. i won't be any more encouraged to vote for mccain just because one of my 'sisters' got picked to be his vp.
i do find it interesting however that obama wants change, portrays himself as a man of change, and picks biden.
mccain has always been viewed as a maverick, he pulls his usuall maverick stuff and taps (ahem) a woman to be his running mate, and it's a gimmick. no, it's par for the course for mccain.
i think he could have done better. two years as governor imo isn't enough to show someones capabilities. i'd say usually that the VP selection usually doesn't mean much, but in mccains case it absolutely does due to his age.

Being around a whole lot of 17 year old girls
it seems to me there is a big problem being a single,
uneducated, kid having a kid.
She is getting married... Ok then.

I'm sure Grandma will help out in this case.
Being a grandma is sorta presidential I guess.

Lets see if the Democrats can lower themselves
to play real Republican hardball with this one.
I think they can.
Easily.

This could not get much better.
Wait until it turns out the father is
a black bisexual.

We welcome Hermoise and his boyfriend into our family.
We could not be happier with this wonderful celebration of life
and the diversity of the human soul.

Talk with your children about abstaining...
Because ya see abstaining from sex will prevent you
from becoming pregnant dont ya know.
Damn good stuff.

Most people will view this from their own personal experiences - I can think of two for me.

I had a best friend in high school who got his girl friend pregnant. She was 16 he was 18 - they got married and kept the child. They just celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary - they have quite a few grandchildren.

A close friend of my girl friend had a daughter that got pregnant in High School. She decided to keep the child and not get married. She completed high school and just recently graduated from nursing school. She has created a fine home for her child and although it was a struggle she has done quite well with her family's support.

So for me when I hear this story about Palin's daughter I say... so what...sh^t happens in life deal with it.

I commend Obama's comments that said it not a matter for public debate for his campaign.

and he's right. children of candidates should not be a matter of debate, or interest.

Why is Palin's daughter in the news???? This is NOT news!!! What a bunch of morons.

You know I don't even like Palin, but her daughter having a child has no effect on her ability to be VP. They are 2 completely separate matters!!

why is it in the news? because her daughter is the pregnant unmarried daughter of the republican candidate for vp.
hopefully it won't be 'news' for long, as it has nothing to do with whether her mother is a viable vp candidate.

no, not a hillary fan at all. she's too much of a chameleon for me, untrustworthy for sure.
i just don't understand why some think that just because a female is running she is a shoo-in for the female vote.
oh, wait...that's right...it's because women vote based on emotion, not thought.

ok...MY ONE AND ONLY RESPONSE HERE...her daughter's pregnancy and her hubby's DUI have nothing to do with her qualifications, the abuse of power issue COULD be newsworthy, we don't know. Hopefully Obama will take the high road here (I think he will)...lets look at her qualifications not her personal life! By the way, the daughter's child's father is named Levi something, a hockey player at her school...I wish them both well!
