Once it is cleaned up and there is no infection it should be fine. If they can get some healing around the coronet band and the foot starts growing out it can be no problem especially in the summer when the feet grow so quickly. Then again it may be really deep and there may be a lot more to cut out. It is just so hard to predict if you are on top of them every day let alone trying to interpret one picture. The real bitch is when you do everything right and take the time to grow the foot out and they pop another one. Makes you sick
