Imperfect ride or not, he got the same figure on my numbers for the Monmouth race and the Whitney, about 2 lengths slower than his BC Classic. He ran what he is, a decent but not great horse that got drowned by 3 really good horses in the '06 BC.

Before the race, Borel or not, I was expecting Street Sense to win on the outside in the stretch.

The inside is risky you can get stopped. The danger with the outside move is that it requires an earlier commitment and would leave SS with more to do in the lane, but I thought he was good enough. With ground loss and an earlier move it would have been extremely close between the top 2.

Borel made a great move in hindsight.
