Jan Rushton is a wonderful person who had a nice career around racing. And she is selfless doing what she is for her brother who has ALS. But she was a mannequin on broadcasts and even failed to truly deliver off her experience as a gallop rider. If that's what you want in your handicapping/paddock hosts, fine, but I think the players are demanding more.

I'd rather have her commentary and some insight than talking heads just rattling off their useless picks. I'd rather just have the track announcer feed than the vast majority of simulcasts hosts out there. Actually, I must say that Jill Byrne and Mark Johnson do a nice job together.
