![]() Is it maybe possible that there is a middle range between a horse being "great" or being "slow?"
Personally, I think winning a G2 at Saratoga is a pretty impressive turf debut. Marcavelly and Distorted Reality are both decent horses, and there is certainly no shame in beating horses of that caliber. Nobiz might not be a consistent G1-caliber horse, (despite his score in the Wood) but he is certainly a G2/G3-caliber horse, perhaps on the dirt and the turf. I wouldn't call that slow. |
