This comment is borderline ridiculous and flies in the face of what we saw last week from TVG when they were at Monmouth, they were gushing just as much and had the same 30 minutes of coverage for that race.

How can you say they did different today other than to fume the flames of this every growing contingent that seems to rail on a very nice champion race horse.

Too bad Hallowed Dreams didn't race in modern day SoCal--she'd be one of the all-time greats.

Are you serious? Did you watch the coverage the day both Rachel and Zenyatta ran? Ken Rudulph actually said that some days a win by two lengths can be more impressive than a win by 20. I also love how a few little girls magically made their way right to the TVG set at Monmouth with pro-Zenyatta signs and somehow they made it onto the telecast this weekend. Must be a coincidence.

They did a 30 minute segment with Shirreffs last night where the "poor west coasters have to battle the bias" notionw as propagated endlessly. Today Schrupp referred to Del Mar as the epicenter of thoroughbred racing today because of the appearance of Zenyatta. The guy re-invented hyperbole when it comes to her.

Everytime I look at them .. I think the last place finisher was a runaway winner at first glance.

Until she leaves the cozy confines of SoCal and actually wins a real race, she will never be as good as Rachael.

Everything about Del Mar is first class, except the racing.

I know, she wont. Just like Azeri was never any good until she won in new york(to paraphrase the feelings in the same situation just 5 years ago)....its ok, she will be able to handle your feelings on the matter.

oh god, here we go again, everything sucks compared to New York. Please make it stop.

Its ok, thats what message boards are all about, cant be happy about anything, even a great race horse gets trashed here like a junkyard dog.

Nashoba's Key was 4 for 4 on synthetics with all major wins.

Remember all the grief I got for saying Zenyatta was better than her?

and who gives a ****, isnt it impossible to just enjoy the horse for what she is?

You sound bitter because your favorite passion is f'ng you big time. Thats not the horses problem, and frankly not the connections, they have a goal to win the Breeders Cup (classic or distaff) and said that for 10 months now, your problem should be with racing.

See I have gotten over it, racing is a pretty bad sport to be a fan like football or other reasonable well managed sports. You need to roll with the crap this sport is all about (crap fields, high takeout, over racing, synthetics, etc etc.)

Notice how the horse ships out of SoCal to Monmouth and loses.

I think this knocking a 12 for 12 multlpe G1 winning filly is so bizzarre. How the fcuk you can dis Zenyatta is unbelieveable.. Is she as good as Rachel? In a word NO but how is that important.. She is a pleasure to watch and great for the sport. I have no problem tipping my glass to a great great mare even if she isn't Rachel.

Freddy, I agree with you more and more these days. I have no idea, someone I know went from saying she was terrific to saying she was trash in the matter of two weeks, its amazing.

Nashoba's Key? ...Yeah, she beat such greats as the synthetic track version of Hystericalady and Zenyatta's multiple Grade 1 winning half sis Balance.

Zenyatta hasn't beat anything to get excited about.

The horse who was 2nd in last years Breeders Cup Distaff was Coco Beach and Music Note was 3rd. They're looking awfully bad now.

Life Is Sweet ran one prior time on polytrack prior to today .. and she was off the board in an ugly Ashland won by the great Little Belle.

But I know, Zenyatta has that dirt win with Brownie Points running 2nd.

The quality of opposition defeated card is not going to score you a ton of points with Zenyatta.
