I think the remaining poker rooms are going to be loss leaders for the few casinos able to incur a negative return on floor space that could easily fit a few more slots.
Some of the small rooms here in Reno have already closed. I haven’t looked at Las Vegas but I’m going to guess the same is true there.
Limiting players has an impact on the bottom line at table games but substantially changes the game itself in poker. There aren’t any casual 4 handed poker players. They’ll be busy at the slots where they’ll have a better return on their just for fun money.
