I do try to bet what I percieve to be closers. There are just so many variables with these horses. With the T-breds, you know who will probably be on the lead and who will be coming from behind. With the trotters, a speed horse that has an outside post might try to tuck and wait.

I noticed that too...that was why I liked Proud Moment in the 5th. He was scheduled to drive and I took that as a good sign. Didn't work out..
