Of all people in the history of racing I think I'm the one that least believes in track biases.

IMO they are the crutch of bad handicappers and a self fulfilling prophecy from the jocks room.

However, on Jan 7 at Oaklawn it was virtually impossible to rally from off the pace.

Only a couple the entire day passed any horses in the last 3/8ths of a mile.

That said I think it makes LA DE VIDA 7/2 very interesting in the Bayakoa.
