Default 'Aldeb' spins a.m. eye-catcher

Dee Tee's Aldebutante, now 5 months removed from knee surgery, announced her return to serious training Sunday at Churchill-Trackside with a :35.2 breeze under wraps. Our 3yo daughter of Aldebaran galloped out the half mile in :49.0 in taking her official first step toward her sophomore debut.

"She's back," said Chuck. "Cherie said she (Aldebutante) felt just like her old self. I was really pleased. She was under a hold and worked like that. She would have needed to be stoutly restrained to work any slower. It's a very encouraging work."

The $50,000 Keeneland September Yearling (2007) cooled out quickly and was feeling particularly good after the drill according to Chuck. "She probably only need about 6 works before a start. We'll look for something in early-mid July."

More from Chuck later...
