They had just cancelled a show at Deer Creek due to gate crashing, fire starting, bottle throwing fans. The band was furious and I think hurt by it all. They had a handout that basically said we don't have many rules, but if you pull that crap again, we're done. They all signed it except Jerry. Everyone was on their best behavior. They played the worst show ever to let everyone know they were serious. The next night was better, but they would only play 2 more shows in Chigago. Jerry died a month later.
