Marcus Hersh ~ O'Brien still sorting out @breederscup Juvenile Turf options; Just Wonderful in Juv Fillies Turf

Aidan O'Brien said Tuesday that he has not yet finalized plans for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf, though he does plan to have at least one runner in a race he has won four times, including last year with Mendelssohn. O'Brien did divulge two possible runners, Broome and Sydney Opera House.

Broome finished second to the promising Madhmoon in Ireland two starts ago and on Oct. 7 was a second by a neck to Royal Marine in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere in France. He'd be among the favorites for the BC Juvenile Turf should he come.

Sydney Opera House also finished second to Madhmoon, in an Aug. 16 maiden race in Ireland, and most recently set the pace and held second behind stable-mate Mohawk in the Royal Lodge Stakes on Sept. 29 at Newmarket.

O'Brien also ruled out sending Anthony Van Dyck to the BC Juvenile Turf. Anthony Van Dyck finished second to the vastly talented Quorto in the Vincent O'Brien National Stakes before running third this past weekend in the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

O'Brien confirmed he plans to run Group 2 Rockfel Stakes winner Just Wonderful in the BC Juvenile Turf. He also said Gustav Klimt remained a possible runner in the BC Mile, and that his status for the QE II on Saturday at Ascot would be determined at the final declaration stage Thursday. "He could miss that and go straight to the Breeders' Cup. We don't know yet."
