Today's Belmont third race shocked me. Not only did my three choices (3/7/11) take up three of the back four positions after a quarter mile, but the field allowed another Castellano charge to go to the half in 48 and change which was clearly in Bold Runner's wheelhouse. The challengers all stacked up four and five wide on the turn (always a winning strategy at Belmont - not).
Nice price on Hadrian if you could see your way clear to including this colt - dropping down, first time Lasix, rail post, and coming in from Fair Hill after a year off the track.
Watching the replay, is there anyone from that race that you would play back, even with all of the stretch collisions? Seems like that will be a Maiden Claiming group for $12,500 on the Aqueduct inner before you know it.
