To be fair, Edgar played the gambit we saw yesterday from Chris DeCarlo where he made his move entering into the far turn (dropped from the three path into the rail), opened three lengths on the field, and turned the race into a twenty second sprint to the wire. Again, the rider who took the initiative wins the race.

Some other points here : This is the first two turn race that I can recall where the front runner went 47+ to the half and maintained that lead through the stretch. Also, this is Prado's second winner of the entire meeting, the 47 year-old journeyman winning earlier in the meet on ... Miss Frost.

Post-edit : Miss Frost entered the stretch in the two path and bore out throughout the lane - she finished in the ten path and that was a conservative estimate on my part. The entire field was inside this one.
