Thought the same thing DURING the running of that race - notice that he parked his mount three wide in a half-mile time of 49 3/5. Now, take a look at this running lines - where none of Decisive Edge's turf races went beyond 48 1/5 (leader's time, add two lengths to 48 3/5s).
Even more troublesome is that Solis allowed Atherton (#3, Saez) at 41-1 to dictate his position.
Hats off to Maragh for tracking the right horse, keeping Trcastle closer than his last start, and getting just enough momentum in the final 1/16th to gain the top spot.
