Funny you mention a "deli". I've owned and managed a couple.
My favorite was owned by one of my-ex wives. She had the "pineapple upsidedown cake" done perfectly. People came from miles around.
One of mine was famous for buttered rolls, coffee and newspapers.
The turkey subs were good too, as were the rollmops.
Also made some great lox/creamcheese/on onion bagels.
Lately I've been working on my "game" recipes. You call them "varmints".
If you go to the Derby Trail cookbook, I'll be posting recipes there.
Rabbits are very nice. If I'm lucky, I call them "bumper bunnies". It saves ammo if ya get em that way.
Actually, most rodents are very disregarded. Ever had squirrel pie? Bar-b-q'd woodchuck?
