My son and I went to a place today here in Galveston called Moody Gardens and visited the Aquarium exhibit. Wayyyy over priced of course but although it was neat to see seals and sea turtles up close, it was just so saddening to see them in these small tanks. None of them looked happy except perhaps the fish that are too dumb to care. I know that this place does rehabilitation for the turtles and does set the ones that are able free back out in the Gulf. A lot of babies wash ashore but what little time we spent at the beach this vacation, we saw nothing but disgusting, stinky seaweed.
We do get to see some dolphins while on the ferry, so that's always cool
