Eddie was way cool. One of my all time favorites. I remember him clearly as much as I do Secretariat. I remember my dad laughing and commenting about how Eddie dressed. Everyone commented back then about how Eddie dressed.
I've read everything I could ever find about Eddie and about his relationships with Riva Ridge, Secretariat and others in his care.
One of the rooms in my house is dedicated to Eddie and Secretariat. I have some great pictures of Eddie, Sec and both of them together.
What a time in racing that was. Glad I was alive to experience it.
