The VA hospital in Tampa is 3 times the size it was when I moved here 10 years ago - and the original hospital is just spinal cord center now.
Can't go to war for 10+ years and ignore the consequences.

If you look at the chart this started moving up in the early 90's right when offshoring blue collar jobs became the rage and continued right on as white collar jobs got off shored. Add in the wars as you say and it looks like disability is our new growth industry.
