1,000 High School Students Sing US National Anthem on 18 Floors of Hotel
Quote:
A video recorded at the Louisville Hyatt last night is picking up speed on the internet because it’s one of the most American things you’ll ever see/hear. A woman in town on business posted the video on her Facebook page (it now has almost 150,000 shares) with the caption:
“So, I’m in Kentucky for work and today when we got back, 1000 high school students had checked into our hotel. They had been making quite the ruckus tonight, but then did this to celebrate the start of the Olympics. Not the best video, (cause my fear kept me pretty far from the edge) but that’s 18 levels of them singing! Amazing!”
The high school students are in Louisville for the Kentucky State Choir conference, which explains their harmony and why some of you got a little teary-eyed listening. Though the original poster said it was to kick off the Olympics, singing the national anthem is an annual tradition at the conference.
America.
