Newhart was still on the air, I saw an interview with Peter Scolari (who was his
Bosom Buddies co-star) on a talk show and he told a really cute story about Tom Hanks- he said he and Tom Hanks still hung out all the time, and they were on the golf course when Tom Hanks saw that Bob Newhart was also playing. Scolari immediately offered to introduce them, and he said Hanks immediately got very bashful; "But... that's BOB NEWHART!" Awww....
