Well,Cannon, lets be honest here. The Dodgers missed out on signing the blue chip power hitters.Drew left.Pierre stole 58 bases last year. That's 58 singles or walks(I agree mainly singles) turned into doubles.Furcal stole 38,and it seemed like 80.He got caught 13 versus 20 for Pierre. These 2 should compliment each other beautifully. They both get a lot of hits, and if the other one is on 2nd base(after stealing,) then it should work well. I wish Pierre had better power(like Furcal,) but if you get 200 hits, play 162 games, and get 58 stolen bases, then you are a valuable player.I'D SAY THAT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF POWER,They did pay a little too much to Pierre. You have to remember that the Dodgers gave Kent 10 mil last year, and only got 14 bombs. So,we are use to guys ripping us off.Again, that was caused by injuries(played just 115 games.)I think getting a guy that plays 162 games, and gets over 200 hits is pretty valuable.Old guys with power are risky.
