Too further my point lets take Game On Dude, who by every measure is a very very good horse. Where is this perception? Game on Dude has danced every dance, I have never heard anyone say that because he has won races in California he is just ok.
The criticism about Zenyatta was the level of competition she was generally placed against, not that she was based in California.
