12 hours.
I'm a 6-8 hr type of guy.
I lived in South Bend at the time. Had the ABC National in Huntsville, AL. Thursday Night after a night of Bowling, I went home to start packing for my drive to there. Slept for maybe 2hrs. I had planned my trip to stop through Evansville to get measured for my tux for a friends wedding, and then make it to Nashville to meet up an old college roommate until my friends from South Bend met up with there in Nashville. The Drive is 5 hours to Evansville from South Bend. I got his requirements done. He wanted to go out for drinks after he was done with work. Bahama Mamas! Then he wanted me to go out of my way to meet see his son. I left Evansville around 10pmcst and showed up in Nashville about 1pm est. Waited for my friend to get off work there. Then went to an all-night bar and started drinking beers again at 3pm. Stomach upset. We drove to the meeting point with my South Bend friends. We showed up in Huntsville about 8am in the morning. But when we met up, I told a friend to drive. I don't sleep well in cars, so I was in and out for about 1 to 2 hrs. Still stomach sick went to played Golf on a flooded Golf Course checked into the hotel. Had Red Lobster for dinner. Almost fell asleep driving from there to the hotel at the wheel. One guy said he had to pick up our friend from the airport, then they were going to the stadium. I told them to pick me up on the way to the stadium. Well I went out on a couch in my hotel room (formerly an apt complex) at 8pm watching the NCAA tourney, and the next thing I knew it was 8am in the morning.
I had the worst tournament ever in my career also. yikes! Left my prise Bears jacket there. And had to take at least the 3rd phone call to the hotel staff on where to find it. Geez!
