Still, Beyers are final time figs, and that killer pace helped him, just as it did the horse who followed him Mylute (99 BSF) and even helped Golden Soul little more so because he was inside.

IMO, if Beyers are your figures of choice, the question in the Preakness certainly becomes 'Who can run a race better than 101 or 102?'

There's no easy looking answer to that one with Normandy out of the way and obviously Dreaming of Julia won't wheel back off of all that happened in the Oaks ... but, a 102 isn't exactly an impossible mountain to climb even for what's left out there.
