In this morning's Bakersfield newspaper, I read that our county-run ITW is thinking about closing.
All ITW bettors would be forced to drive over 100 miles to Fresno or to Santa Anita to wager. I did comment in the local newspaper internet "forum" about how this is not a good move.
I don't believe very many locals would be sympathetic to a degenerate gambler's withdrawal pleas so I was hoping I might get a few ideas from the Derby Trail about more persuasive arguments I should use.
