No. Or if Romney is called the winner. No "lawyering" there. Those three stations will call a winner, when the last station calls and confirms - poof, Coach is gone from Derby Trail and Hooves is gone from Politics.
Another thing not mentioned is if one of the candidates doesn't make it to election day. Bet is off then, but I wouldn't expect Coach or Hooves to be parsing for outs like you have, above.

Yes, Fox may announce first, but Fox no longer has any basis in reality, or any credibility whatsoever, even in the sadly non-journalistic world of American media. They are not a news station any longer, and are no longer treated as such in this country. Matthews has an opinion show, not a news show. I don't watch him, you be my guest.
