I don't know -- it's hard to say without doing a thorough statistical study.
But those high profile horses make him seem like a human anchor of some kind.
I'm sure a lot of it is just bad luck -- but I was never a fan of Leparoux and never understood why he was quickly made and anointed as a great jockey.
