I think they are pointing out how many Americans have no idea about what their neighbors are doing as opposed to saying "Muslims deserve this."
Ignorance among the population, I was shocked when I heard this was a Sikh temple, made no sense as they are
truly peaceful people, my second thought, sadly, was that some horrible excuse for a human thought they were Muslims.
That is the world we live in now.
