I worked at Belmar Playland when I couldn't drive since I could ride the bike. Got paid nothing really. Once I got my license I started working the Jenkinson's circuit in Point, still made next to nothing. Wasn't ever about the money, as a young man in NJ during summer there were other reasons to work the boards.
The communities have not made it cheap to have a business there either.
