In the 14 editions on dirt -- our top finisher has won 9 times and has never finished worse than 2nd.
In the 3 editions on synthetic -- not a single one of our horses has finished in the top 3.
There is nothing random about this. Our turf horses suck. Our synthetic horses suck. Our dirt racing is and always was wildly superior to dirt racing everywhere else.
The best synthetic horse we've ever had is Zenyatta...and I find it hard to believe she could have beat a big group of respectable International grass horses on Tapeta.
I've said it would be 20 or 30 years until another American horse wins the Dubai World Cup. It sounded a little bold ... but considering the field size and how well our horses have performed shipping over for turf races...it might be a complete impossibility.
