ROYAL DELTA continued to exhibit fitness, contentment and readiness with another strong effort that would have been the 'work o' the day' had Flat Out not come along. She went smoothly for her official half in just under :47.3, but it was her finishing quarter in sub :23 that particularly drew wows from the binocular set. Already the horse to beat in the Distaff and available for sale in November, Royal Delta gives Bill Mott an outstanding chance to annex the Friday feature for a second year in a row...
Mott also sent TO HONOR AND SERVE for a drill, and the Live Oak Bernardini son was efficient getting even eighths on route to a 5f timing of 1:00.0. He galloped out smoothly as well, and was not overly eager or anxious at all. Will be very interested to hear Mott's thoughts, but you'd think he will be very pleased by the Pennsylvania Derby winner's professional effort today.
Since we're talking Mott, COURAGEOUS CAT was out for a jog and continues to look healthy, handsome and happy...
