The day he won his debut by 14 at Saratoga -- there was a speed bias that day and JRV basically had to gun him and he was ridden to make a length lead. He was ridden a bit in the King's Bishop to keep from falling off the pace.
I don't think he has as much raw speed as a lot of people seem to think.

Right. That's why I don't think he's a miler. He's never run like a miler.
