Having been out of town and offline for a while, I only just now read that he passed away September 3rd. I didn't know Mr. Roach, but friends in Kentucky who did always had good things to say about him. The book
Three Strides Before The Wire introduced me to him and his story as it related to the breeding that produced
Charismatic. From the book, and from articles I read through the years about Charismatic and his origin, I felt as if I knew Tom. Sad to read that he's gone at the early age of 63.
