Edwards has quite the reputation as a ladies man. Many voters looked the other way because he never tried to hide it. When Edwards was in a runoff against David Duke in 1991, Edwards commented that he and Duke were both wizards under the sheets.
Edwards married a 30 year old nurse named Candy when he was 67 and finishing his last term as Governor. Candy divorced him about 10 years later while he was in prison.
